Welcome To 2010!
Hello, everyone, and happy new year!
2009 was a great year. I’ll bet 2010 will be even better!
A few days ago, Rich and I went to Ken’s Lake, and I had a little fun. Rich hiked to Faux Falls (above the lake), and took pictures there. All the pictures from that little excursion were taken by Rich. I didn’t take my camera, because I wanted to skate. I had a great time, although it was VERY cold. It hasn’t been above freezing in Moab at all for about 3 weeks. This is incredibly unusual for Moab. The lake is frozen good and hard, though. Yea!
Below is a video of me skating, with some still pictures included. Below that are some more still pictures, so you can see them better.
Katie, and Faux Falls:
I wish everyone an amazing 2010!

I enjoyed the video. It looks like it wasn’t crowded too you had a lot of room to have fun with. The pictures are great. Brrrr! Have a great New Year.
Your penguin impression in the middle row, left, photo says a lot about how cold it was. Kudos to Rich for his great video.
Hi Katie,
Thanks for sharing your photos & videos from your lovely day at Kens’ Lake. They brought a smile to my face for sure as well as peaking my interest in skating! That looks like loads of FUN!!!
Peace, Love & Happiness,
Magpie
Katie,
OMG that is awesome! Where did you get the skates? I remember a winter like the one were having now I think I was 12, anyway somehow I had a pair of ice skates and would go to the pond at our place and skate. The falling was always painful. Lol Great job skating! You looked so elegant
A bit late to the party…but wanted to say Have A Great New Year! Looks like fun but BRR Freezin’ to me!
Holy Cow! I don’t ever remember seeing Ken’s Lake solid enough to skate on! Man, that looks great…enough to make a girl a little nostalgic. Hope you guys are surviving all the storms in your area! We’re thinking of you up here in Logan!
